I booked The Prestige hotel situated at Shimla through MakeMyTrip. Online, they showed all kinds of facilities, but when I reached near the Mall Road lift in Shimla and called the hotel, they sent a man who told us that first we had to go up by lift to Mall Road and then walk down around 60 stairs. He also said we would have to pay ₹500 to carry the luggage.
I was traveling with my mother and children, so I sent them up through the lift while I followed him with a porter carrying our luggage. After climbing and walking through nearly 300 stairs, we finally reached this terrible hotel.
The rooms were extremely poor and suffocating. We did not even feel like staying there for 15 minutes and immediately booked another hotel. The ₹7000 I had already paid was completely wasted because the hotel policy was non-refundable.
No one should ever book such a horrible hotel by mistake. Fake reviews posted by people mislead other travelers as well. I never expected such a poor experience from the MakeMyTrip app. In my opinion MakeMyTrip contain fake reviews, so avoid using them for hotel bookings. Was this information helpful? |
