Makin Memories — complaint against makin memories fraudulent membership & non-delivery of promised services

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to file a complaint against Makin Memories, a travel membership company, for misleading customers, failing to provide promised services, and refusing to cancel my membership as per their policy.

I became a member of Makin Memories in January 2024, based on their clear commitment that:

1. They will provide only 4-star and 5-star hotels for booking. (mentioned in membership kit mail)
2. No booking restrictions, including during peak season.
3. Cancellation is allowed as per the exit clause within 7 days(Mentioned in contract)
However, my experience over the past one year has been extremely disappointing. Despite multiple attempts, I have never been able to book a hotel through them. Their usual responses are:

1. They never answer calls – All communication must be done via email.
2. They offer budget hotels instead of 4-star and 5-star accommodations.
3. They claim no availability every time, citing "high demand" as an excuse.
4. They refuse to cancel my membership, despite multiple requests and proof of their failure to provide services.
5. Even now, on today 30 jan'25, they replied that no bookings are available till March 15, 2025.

If they never have availability, what is the meaning of this membership? This is clear misrepresentation and fraud.

I have all necessary email proofs to support my claim. Therefore, I kindly request the consumer authorities to take immediate action and:

Direct Makin Memories to cancel my membership and issue a full refund.
Investigate their fraudulent practices and prevent others from getting trapped.
Ensure strict action is taken to protect consumers from such misleading schemes.
I sincerely request your urgent intervention in this matter. I am willing to provide all supporting documents as required.
