Dear Sir/Madam,
This is to inform you that I had applied for the withdrawal of my son Kingshuk Mazumder[protected] from BDS course (at MCODS, Manipal), and shift him to MIC for BAJC course, in an application made to the Manipal University on 18th August, 2012. The Dean, MCODS Manipal had approved the withdrawal and the Director, MIC had approved his admission to the BAJC course. We were under the impression that though one requires to pay the full course fees to withdraw from a course, one is not required to do the same if he merely chooses to move to another college of the same university.
Yet, the registrar had denied us permission for the same, and had asked us to pay the full remaining year fees, to withdraw from the course. I know a few people in my son's college who have been allowed to switch colleges (under the Manipal University), yet my son's case has been differently treated. So much so that, the Registrar himself is hardly reachable to students/guardians, and he had disagreed to meet us on the said date, even though we had travelled more than 2500 kilometres for this issue. And the Registrar's secretary had on that date verbally instructed us to pay the full course fees for the withdrawal. (There was no written communication, which was unexpected on the part of a reputable university's registrar).
I had also mentioned in my letter to the University, (dated: 18th August,2012) that my son is feeling unsettled with the BDS course and at MCODS, and he does not want to continue in the same. He is not psychologically prepared to pursue the course further. So, I had decided to allow him to pursue BAJC (a course of his choice) at Manipal University itself. But the University Registrar's demands are not only financially unfeasible for us, but also unjustified, and unequal treatment has been meted out to my son.
I demand a written explanation from the university regarding the same. And the University is solely responsible to damage my son's career and for denying him his right to higher education. I hope that you shall provide us with a suitable and justified solution for this matter.

I fill form of Manipal University for B. Tech. online admision , I submeet my detail and pay procesing fee Rs.1500 by internet banking through sbi net banking payment show secess by bank with ref. ID IG89986975 on CC Avenue order no. Adm[protected] Dated 02/02/2012. but my payment not proced to application form or not refund my payment in my bank a/ c no. manipal university admit student on the basis of ENAT. the fact that no material is given to the candidate after the exam is over to challenge at later stage.
recently a student scored 137 on 18 feb 10 at 1130 hrs at merittrac, bangalore , but on querry on 2 Mar 10, it was learnt that the database at manipal university indicate only 127.

it is needless to say that the seats are fixed for money.
any one facing this problem???

beaware of manipal university and ENAT working under EPSI.

Dear Sir,

i am a student of one of the manipal university affiliated institutes.

Now the institute is asking for Original Certificates to retain and they will return them after completion of the course.

They will not give the certificates back for any temporary purpose inbetween.

Is this legal to retain the original certificates of students by the university for a longer period?br...

I want to bring to your notice that, I am charged extra for online transaction of online form submission five extra times due to server failure. But it has not been refunded till now, my transactions were done on 23 and 24 of April and till today no action is done, even I am said to wait, wait and wait by the university.I complained them again and again many times but no action is done. I have there emails. No action is taken I have been facing problem in clearing my accounts and every month interest are charged at there high rates.I face a lot of difficulties as I am a student. Please help me out to sort this issue as soon as possible. Will be very thankful to you.

My son had written Entrance Examiniation for MBBS at Manipal University this year and his Application No. is 147166. Since this was an online test the marks are displayed upon completion of test and the candidate signs on printed copy of this result and returns the examiner. My son did the entrance test at their premises in Manipal, Karnataka. He scored 174 marks but what appears on their website giving the rank was in correct. I personally visited the Admission Office at the university on 05 June 09 and was advised by the office staff that my son scored only 109. I requested to show me the answersheet and was told to give a written request and they will send the copy by email and post within 4-5 days. I submitted the written request but till today I have neither received the email or post from them.

Since they have already started counselling and seats will be finalised within 2 days. I would request your good offices to intervene urgently
