Sir,
I am a central govt. officer under the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Dept. of Electronics & Information Technology, National Informatics Centre, Govt. of India.
I have been recently transferred to NIC, Dimapur District (Nagaland) from NIC, Mon District (Nagaland). I was the District Informatics Officer at Mon, when I took the LPG connection from the M/s Manwing Gas Agency, New Site, Mon district, Nagaland (one gas stove, one regulator, two LPG cylinders). However, all the items were stolen from my quarter at Mon, when I was under medical treatment at Dimapur. Accordingly, I lodged FIR at Mon Police Station and also informed the Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate of Mon about the theft of the LPG items. The police investigated the case thoroughly, but could not recover the lost items. Hence, they issued me an ‘Action Taken Report’.
Now that I have been transferred to Dimapur district, I shifted my family here, and needed to transfer my LPG connection from Mon to Dimapur. Therefore, I submitted an application for transfer, along with police report, to the Manager, M/s Manwing Gas Agency, Mon. However, I was told by the Manager that the transfer is not possible, because it is not acceptable to the company. I tried to explain to him that for the lost items, I have produced the police report and that my LPG connection still valid. If it is not transferred to Dimapur, then my family and I would be facing a lot of problems. And applying for new connection is a loss on my part; I have to incur extra expenditure. Whereas, my valid LPG connection and the gas consumer card would become useless. But, he said it is not possible to transfer the connection.
In this connection, I would request you to let me know whether my case is genuine or not. And also kindly clarify if there is any rule of the company that the case like stated above cannot be transferred from one place to another.
I shall be highly grateful to you.
Looking forward to your quick response in this regard.
Sincerely yours,
Sd/- Kamal Chetri,
Scientist-C, NIC, Dimapur District Centre,
Office of the Deputy Commissioner,
Dimapur-797113, Nagaland.
