Maple services (Sole authorised service agents for Apple devices in India) collected my above mentioned watch from my residence on 19th August 2023.
The watch was working fine, but the battery required replacement. They required to check the watch at their works and they would come back with a quotation for any parts replacement or other servicing once they check the watch at their works.
In case I reject the quotation, I need to pay Rs 899 (through a link they would make active. once I rejected). This they explained was to compensate them for their checking, collection and resending charges.
On 21 Aug, 2023, they came back and said that the watch was otherwise OK, but had “Battery health issue” and the resolution that “Whole unit has to be exchanged”/ For this the quotation would be Rs 34, 414 (Rs thirty four thousand four hundred and fourteen only).
I was to accept or reject the quote and thru a link on the email, pay Rs 34, 414 to receive the replacement watch + the old watch.
I rejected the quotation and asked for the link to pay Rs 899, so that I receive my watch, in the condition I gave it to them. They did not send me the link, nor return me the old watch.
I reminded them two times (on 24th and 25th Aug 2023) as I was leaving for a trip for three days I asked them to send back the watch by 26th Aug.
So far I have not received their email with ;ink to pay Rs 899 and the unrepaired watch as well.
Iam getting suspicious as to why this is happening to me. that too by a sole agency appointed by Apple, a globally renowned brand.
Please help me get the watch back as I have sent them, at the earliest.
