I am filing this complaint against the Instagram store @midnightangelsbypc for highly unprofessional, unethical, and fraudulent behavior.
I placed an order for a product that was shown as in stock on their Instagram page. I made full payment expecting a timely delivery.
However, after the payment:
• They neither delivered the product nor gave any update for weeks.
• I patiently waited for over 20 days, without any communication from their side.
• When I finally reached out through Instagram messages multiple times, they casually responded saying that they had “called me once” and I didn’t pick up, which is completely false — I never received any such call or message.
• They made no attempt to inform me that the item was out of stock.
• After following up repeatedly, they agreed to issue a refund, but now they’ve gone back on their word and are forcing me to accept store credit instead.
• When I reminded them of the refund they promised, they arrogantly said “do whatever suits you best.”
I have complete proof of:
• My payment
• Screenshots of chats where refund was agreed
• Their careless and dismissive replies
This is not just poor customer service — this is a clear case of online fraud, misrepresentation, and violation of consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and Section 66D of the IT Act (cheating by electronic means).
I am proceeding to:
• File a cyber crime complaint at cybercrime.gov.in
• Report this business account to Meta/Instagram
• Raise a dispute with the payment gateway
• Share this experience publicly so others don’t fall for this scam
I request an immediate full refund and public acknowledgment of this misconduct. Such behavior should not go unchecked.
