I am writing to formally address a serious issue regarding an unauthorized transaction on my account. Your message states that payment was made based on an OTP verification. However, I did not receive any OTP on my registered mobile number. Despite this, I received a transaction alert from the bank stating that an amount had been debited from my account.
As per the bank's instructions, I immediately contacted customer service at the number provided and submitted a dispute form. Additionally, I promptly registered an FIR for fraud and received a complaint number within 10 minutes. The dispute form was also submitted without delay.
According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, once an FIR is lodged, the bank is required to stop the payment and credit the debited amount back to the customer’s account. However, this has not been done. Furthermore, the police have issued a letter instructing you to freeze the recipient’s account and provide the account details where the money was transferred. Despite multiple requests, the bank has neither responded to this letter nor taken necessary action.
I fail to understand why the bank is issuing threats when the law clearly supports my case. Additionally, I have call recordings and written evidence from BSNL as proof of all my communications regarding this matter. The FIR copy is also available for reference.
I hold the bank fully responsible for any financial loss incurred due to this unauthorized transaction and expect immediate action to resolve the issue. Kindly provide a prompt response and ensure compliance with the applicable legal provisions.
