This is to highlight the scam that is Mindscope Consultants (Punya Vij) based out of New Friends Colony in Delhi.
I took up the services of Mr. Punya Vij ([protected]@gmail.com) from Mindscope Consultants (MBA counsellors) for my MBA applications. While I received early signs of their incompetence, I was assured by Punya that they are "specialists" in MBA applications. Discussions followed on the fee (Total of Rs. 90, 000 for 6 applications) and we finally agreed. I paid 45, 000 as the first payment (in 2 installments).
He sent me a half baked application for Berkeley Haas on the deadline date and told me it will only take "10 minutes" to fill up what is left. I spent 2 hours finishing the rest of the application. There were also mandatory essays that he gave me no warning about. When I tried reaching him the same night, he told me he was out at a party and couldn't talk. In his inebriated state, he sent me SMSes at 4.30 AM stating that I should tell him what is left and he would promptly fill it up. Even basic details such as my GMAT score and percentiles were filled up wrong by Punya and Mindscope Consultants. I had to chase him on his mobile number ([protected]) which he very often avoided.
I finally decided to terminate his services after the first application (even though I paid for 3). He refused to pay back the remaining amount and did NOTHING for the rest of my applications. I hope that nobody else works with Mindscope Consultants (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mindscope-Consultants/[protected]?ref=br_rs) because if there's anything they specialize in, it is in jeopardizing careers.
