Hi, my name is om dhande, navi mumbai
I registered for everest base camp with mumbai rangers on 29th january 2018 for their everest base camp batch of 30th april 2018. I made money in full (Rs 40950.00) on 29th jan to book my seat.
Amit bhadoriya (Founder of mumbai rangers) was in touch with me before my registration for the event. As this is major event which takes lots of preparation beforehand, i kept telling him to arrange for orientation session but he was avoiding it till last.
I started following with him vigorously from 10th april for orientation but he started avoiding my calls / messages. I started sending him whatsapp messages but he did not respond. I send whatsapp message from other number which he read and replied (It shows he was deliberately avoiding my calls with malicious intention).
Finally on 22nd april i got mail from amit bhadoriya/ mumbai rangers on cancellation of everest base camp tour citing reason of some accident involving tour guide in nepal. I think it is fabricated story cooked by amit as he must not be in position to go ahead with ebc 30th april batch due to lack of experience / lack of sufficient participants.
Whatever my be the reason, i was kept in dark till last week of travel. I was looking forward to do everest base camp this year and was preparing for it from last 3 years (It is difficult to take out 15 days time from family and work).
On eleventh hour i had to cancel by all air tickets:
Mumbai - delhi - mumbai / indigo flight / pnr c96uyv / loss inr 6096
Delhi-kathmandu-delhi/ jet/ pnr tomhyy/ loss inr 7797
Kathmandu-lukla-kathmandu/ pnr a1z1b5/ loss inr 3000
Total loss around inr 20000.00
He paid my booking amount of inr 40950.00 on 3rd may.
I requested amit bhadoriya to compensate at least the losses i made for flight cancellation, but he is outright denying it by sending one liner message.
Since, i booked for mumbai rangers everest base camp event 3 months in advance, i should have been informed by mumbai rangers on cancellation of event in advance for me to organize with some other tour operator. Else they could have arranged my seat with some other tour operator.
Amit did not do it and kept avoiding communication, which shows what was his intention and capabilities
Can you please help me in getting compensation for my loss.
Also, request you to please caution customers on mumbai rangers, who i think are bunch of novices with no credentials and professionalism
