Sir,
1. I received a Renewal Notice from Mr Sanjiv Suri, Administrative Officer(Marketing) National Insurance Co Ltd, Div No. 9: 302, 4rd Floor, N.N. Mall, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi-110085 for renewal of my car insurance policy No. [protected]. ( car No. DL2CAJ-0910)
2. On dated 22.04.2013 Mr Sanjiv Suri called at my Mobile No. from his mobile No [protected] and asked to meet me for collecting cheque for renewal of policy.
3. Mr Suri attended my residence on 22.04.2014 evening and collected cheque No. 067659 drawn on ING Vysya Bank Ltd amounting to Rs. 3673/- for renewal of my car insurance policy and same amount has been debited from my account.
4. On 25.04.2014, I received my car insurance policy through speed post and I was astonished to see that amount of total insurance premium of my car mentioned is Rs. 3278/- on policy.
5. I called Mr Suri at his mobile No. [protected] on 25/4/2014 and 26/4/2014 for asking reason to collect Rs 395/- more than the total premium amount. His reply was that “this excess amount of Rs 395/- is distributed as commission to all officers”. I objected his reply by stating that a public servant he can not cheat a customer like that and can not take commission in this manner. He challenged me that”you may complaint any where and I am not scared of that as I have contacts upto CMD and commission goes up to CMD level.”The complaint for same was made to all officers of National Insurance Co up to CMD level on 26.4.2014, But no action has been taken to refund my exess amount. Therefore I request you kindly:
A: To direct competent authority to refund Rs 395/- which have been collected in excess of total insurance premium amount by Mr Sanjiv Suri, Admn Officer(Marketing).
B: To take disciplinary action against Mr Sanjiv Suri, Administrative Officer(Marketing) National Insurance Co Ltd, Div No. 9: 302, 4rd Floor, N.N. Mall, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi-110085 who is unbecoming a Govt Servant and cheated me by collecting excess amount of Rs 395/- and also challenging that this amount goes upto CMD level.
