National Organisation For Social Empowerment — Telephonic request for donation from National Organisation for Social Empowerment

Today I received a telephonic request from Telephone No.[protected] said to be from National Organisation for Social Empowerment. The caller informed me that my mobile No. was provided to them by CRY and told me that her organisation has tieup with CRY and Unicef. (I doubt, such an international NGO/Mother NGO like CRY or Unicef provide an individual's mobile No. for a local NGO and ask them to call an individual.) The Caller introduced herself as Ms.Hema. Narrating that One 7 year old girl Baby Sifa is in AIIMS, urgently needs treatment costing Rs.81, 000/- hence for monetary support the telephonic request has been made and narrated the procedure for remittance that is; visit their website, fill the necessary details and click the payment option and pay the amount - any Credit Card/Debit Card would accept - rest they will take care. I searched Google and found complaints about National NGO. Ms. Hema had called me thrice and explained even transferred the call to another volunteer and talked about 20 minutes in toto. I had informed them in case any donation is to be I shall send the same directly to AIIMS, who will provide an 80G Certificate for the same. I request Consumer Complaints to forward this complaints to CRY and Unicef and ask them not to handover their donatees list and contact details to local NGOs like National Organisation for Social Empowerment.
