Am writing to register a serious complaint against New Mahabir Transport Company, which has engaged in a series of dishonest and fraudulent activities while providing transportation services. I discovered this company through Justdial.com when I needed to shift my car and household belongings from Jaboka Tea Estate, Sonari, Assam to Prayagraj (Allahabad).
My ordeal began on Thursday, 4th August, when I contacted New Mahabir Transport Company and provided them with all the necessary details for the relocation. They quoted a total cost of ₹43, 500/- for their services, and in adherence to their terms, I paid the first 25% as a booking amount. They assured me that the truck would be dispatched at 9 am on 5th August.
However, immediately after making the first instalment payment, they demanded the second instalment of 25% before sending the truck for loading. Despite fulfilling their request promptly, they failed to dispatch the vehicle, claiming a delay in processing the payment and urging me to pay the third instalment immediately.
Trapped in their manipulative tactics, I reluctantly paid the third instalment of 25%. They further delayed the service by stating that there was an issue with their payment portal, and the truck would be sent on 6th August.
On 6th August, at 11 am, they informed me that the last payment had been rejected by the portal, and they would refund ₹12, 000/- to my account through Paytm UPI. However, they requested me to resend the amount, and naively believing their claims, I complied.
To my dismay, the second payment of ₹12, 000/- was not credited to my account. As a result, I paid a total of ₹46, 000/- in advance, with no sign of the promised service or refund.
Upon reporting this matter to Mr. Sunil Singh, the senior account manager of New Mahabir Transport Company, he admitted that their staff had cheated me. Despite acknowledging the issue, they sent me a fake payment advice of ₹46, 000/- from an unspecified SBI branch without any bank stamp. Subsequently, they asked me to rebook by paying a small amount of ₹4, 493/-, claiming it was part of their portal system to facilitate the refund. Out of good faith, I made the payment, but once again, no refund was initiated.
I feel utterly betrayed and helpless in this situation, and I urgently seek your intervention to address this fraudulent behavior by New Mahabir Transport Company. They have taken advantage of my trust and caused significant financial distress.
I earnestly request your immediate action to bring these individuals to justice and secure a resolution to this matter. Your prompt attention to this complaint will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Kamalesh Gupta
