Extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Nile Air on flight NP174 from Sharjah Airport to Cairo Airport.
Our baggage was delayed and remained stuck at Sharjah Airport for several days after our arrival, causing major inconvenience, stress, and frustration to me and my family. What made the situation even worse was the poor customer service and the contradictory responses we received from the airline.
Nile Air claimed that food items are not permitted in checked baggage, yet their own website clearly states:
“If you’re carrying food items in your checked baggage, the same considerations apply to your cabin baggage.”
This wording clearly implies that food items ARE allowed under normal conditions, which directly contradicts the explanation later provided by customer service.
Instead of taking responsibility, the responses felt dismissive and unhelpful. We were repeatedly told there was “no further action required” from their side while our baggage was still delayed and we were waiting for delivery to our address days later. Having to wait extra days after arrival just to receive our belongings is completely unacceptable.
The entire experience showed poor baggage handling, lack of professionalism, weak communication, and no real concern for passenger inconvenience. I expected much better service and transparency from an airline.
I sincerely hope Nile Air improves its baggage handling process and customer support because this experience was exhausting and highly disappointing. Was this information helpful? |
