Noble Chemist, Santa Cruz (w) — Defective Thermometer. Not replacing

I bought a non-digital Hicks thermometer yesterday. On using at home, I found that the constriction was not working because of which the mercury level was not staying at the measured level. I went today to get it replaced but they refused to replace it or raise a complaint to the company. Attaching the video of our interaction The cost is 244/- but more than that it has caused huge anxiety during the night as my daughter was running temperature and I was not able to measure the temperature.
