Nobroker.in/ — Request for Full Refund Due to Failure to Deliver Promised Service

I would like to lodge a formal complaint against NoBroker for misleading sales practices, deficiency in service, and failure to provide the services promised at the time of sale.

On 18 April 2026, I purchased the NoBroker MoneyBack Plan after clearly informing the sales representative that my rental accommodation budget was between ₹10, 000 and ₹12, 000 per month. Before making the payment, I specifically asked whether properties would be available within my budget. The sales representative assured me that suitable properties would be available and convinced me to purchase the plan.

However, after the payment was made, the Relationship Manager (RM) assigned to me informed me that properties within my budget were not available and advised me to increase my budget. This was completely contrary to the assurances given before the sale.

Further, instead of providing suitable properties within my budget, the Relationship Manager repeatedly asked me to search for properties myself, shortlist them, and physically visit the locations. Acting on their instructions, I spent a significant amount of time, effort, and money traveling to various locations for property visits. Despite these visits and additional expenses, I could not find any suitable property within the budget range that I had clearly communicated before purchasing the plan.

Had NoBroker informed me honestly before the purchase that properties were not available within my budget, I would never have purchased the MoneyBack Plan. It appears that the plan was sold to me based on misleading commitments solely to secure payment.

As a result of NoBroker's actions, I have suffered:

Financial loss due to the plan fee paid.
Additional transportation and travel expenses incurred for property visits.
Loss of valuable time and effort.
Mental stress, inconvenience, and harassment.
Failure to receive the promised service despite repeated follow-ups.

I requested a refund after realizing that the promised service could not be delivered. However, despite multiple emails and follow-ups, NoBroker has failed to provide a satisfactory resolution.

My Grievances:

Misleading and false assurances provided before the sale.
Selling a paid plan based on commitments that could not be fulfilled.
Failure to provide properties matching my stated budget.
Asking the customer to perform the majority of the property search process despite purchasing a premium service.
Failure to resolve the issue and process the refund in a timely manner.
Financial loss, mental harassment, and inconvenience caused by the company's actions.

Relief Sought:

Full refund of the amount paid for the NoBroker MoneyBack Plan.
Compensation for transportation and other expenses incurred while visiting properties as instructed by the Relationship Manager.
Compensation for mental harassment, inconvenience, and loss of valuable time.
Appropriate action against NoBroker for unfair trade practices, misleading sales commitments, and deficiency in service.
Directions to ensure that similar misleading practices are not repeated with other consumers.

I am attaching all relevant documents, including payment receipts, email communications, complaint references, and screenshots of conversations, in support of my complaint.

I kindly request the Consumer Forum to investigate this matter and provide appropriate relief.
