Nsdl E-Governance Infrastructure Ltd. Support — PRAN not found in database

I have recently registered for a PRAN account and contributed with a sum of 2000 rupees, but when I am trying to generate my iPRAN password and trying to login to www.cra-nsdl.com. I receive an error saying PRAN not found in database. Why is this happening and how can I get this resolved?
