This complaint is not against any specific individual but about how the central govt regulates the software companies in India. Whether the Indian govt recognized the need for establishing grievance cell to address the harassment of employees by so called multi national software companies. I have few questions to either govt or to concerned department
1. If the US based companies are having 5 working days per week with 40 working hours, then why not they are not following in India? Even they over use the employees they are not ready to pay the over time which is not the case in US. Are we supplying knowledge to the world class market or we contributing just slaves.
2. All companies are following many unethical ways to retain the employees. Like having different notice periods in months. Even the employee gets the job in some other company, present working company is not relieving the employee making him/her to lose the opportunity in other company. As per my discussion with one of the HR personnel, the managers are following these unethical ways to retain the employees to reach their targets. I guess still divide and rule policy works in India
I dont think that this list ends.
My only request is to establish a governance body to control policies of MNCs at least to save the self respect of the employees.
Its time for us to come out of the mark "India supplies cheap labour (not in knowledge)" .
If not money at least we have to save our self respects.
I have few case studies I collected over the time about how these MNCs harassed its employees. May employees might not felt like it has a harassment because of adjusting nature but they have to realize the same thing if happens in US with his/her counter part that will be a big court case to sue the company.
Its our time to protect our rights
