I am writing to report a serious fraud incident that occurred in connection with a PG booking I made through your platform.
On [date], I found a PG listing on MagicBricks and contacted the owner. After initial discussion, I sent my Aadhaar details and ₹2, 000 as advance booking deposit.
Subsequently, I was contacted by a person claiming to be a MagicBricks PG Manager. He stated that he was generating my visitor ID and requested multiple payments under different pretexts (clearance amount, refundable deposit, penalty, etc.). Trusting his claim of being an official MagicBricks representative, I made additional payments totaling ₹33000
Later, I realized that this was a scam, as he kept demanding further money and provided no service.

This fraudulent individual misused the name of MagicBricks to cheat me. I request you to:
Investigate and verify the authenticity of the PG listing/owner.
Block and remove the fraudulent listing immediately.
Cooperate with the police/cybercrime authorities by sharing any KYC/registration details of the advertiser associated with the listing.
Provide me with an acknowledgment of my complaint.
I am also filing a case with the Cybercrime Portal (www.cybercrime.gov.in
) and local police, and will provide them with MagicBricks’ details for further investigation.
I request your urgent attention to this matter, as this fraudster is misusing your platform’s name and causing financial and emotional harm to users like me.
