Complaint against “Overseas Vacation” (Shubham Singhal & Akshay Verma)
We booked a Maldives package for my brother and sister In-law from travel agency “Overseas Vacation” from 31st May to 4th June 2021, we paid booking amount of 52000 INR (38578 Flight + 13422 Land package) to Shubham Singhal on 26th Feb 2021 (transaction ID [protected]). We raised a cancellation request one month prior of travel to agency also Airlines (Go Air) cancelled the flight for Mumbai to Male due to Covid situation in India. As discussed with Airlines they have already initiated an amount of 38, 578 to the Travel agent on 7th May 2021 which is already credited to travel agents account.
We are continuously chasing “Overseas Vacation” (Shubham Singhal & Akshay Verma) From 7th of May 2021 however they are giving false excuses and not refunding the amount. Many times they do not respond to calls and messages. After 45 days of continuous fake excuses and commitments now they are saying that they cannot pay the amount as they are in huge loss they will give a credit note of 52000 INR.
As per the policy and commitment they should refund 38578 INR provided by Airlines and Credit note of 13422 INR should be provided.
This is a pure case of fraud and mental harassment by Shubham Singhal (Mbl-[protected]) & Akshay Verma (Mbl-[protected]). They have done a very well planning in advance for not refunding the amount. In initial days Akshay Verma (Senior Sales Executive) gave excuses and fake commitments for refund and then when he was not able to handle the situation Shubham Singhal (Founder/MD) took over and started giving the excuses. At last when they have nothing to give they are saying it’s not their fault as Airlines (Go Air) credited the refund in there agency wallet and that is the reason they cannot refund the amount to us. When I spoke to Airlines they are saying they have refunded the amount in the same mode of payment, that means travel agent Shubham Singhal payed via Agency Wallet and now giving excuse of Airlines that Airlines did a mistake.
They have continuously mentally harassed me and my husband by not paying the refund and not giving proper response to our daily calls and messages.
