Pallavaram Municipality — Burning of garbage on a daily basis by the municipal worker

The municipal worker, who collects garbages at Arulmurugan Main Road Keelkattalai, has been burning the garbages at the empty plots on a daily basis. Everyday we start the day with the haze from the burning of the garbages. Myself and children are asthmatic to smoke and haze. Even when confronting the municipal worker to not to burn the garbages as his duty is only to collect and move it to the rubbish pile (Keelkattalai), he would not heed to our requests and continues to burn. I request the Pallavaram municipality to educate the workers under them to not burn the garbages. The garbages contains all sorts of bio, plastics and may produce toxic and harmful gases. Although we respect their contribution of collecting the garbages everyday at this pandemic time, We earnestly wish they do not contribute to the air pollution and make vulnerable people to suffer.
