Sir,
I am V. PICHUMANI, residing at G-2, 'CLASSIC FLATS', No.2, Muthusamy Nagar Main Road, Nemilichery, Chromepet, Chennai - 600044. Behind our premises, there is a vast vacant land unattended by anybody with all sorts o[censored]nwanted growth of thorny bushes which caters to the breeding of harmful insects, creepers like snakes, etc. In addition, all dead animals like cows, buffalos, dogs and pigs are being dumped in the night without attracting anybody's attention either by the owners of such animals or others in whose vicinity the animals are dead which decompose over a period of time spreading nauseating odour making us intolerant even to be inside the house which makes us arrange for the carcasses to be removed out of our own funds. Even if we complain to the municipality, they send some conservancy workers to remove the dead animals only for a fat tips. It has happened twice.
Is it not the duty of the municipality to instruct the vacant plot owners not to put the residents in the area in hardship like this and to keep their premises neat and tidy, especially, when the local body issues property tax recovery notice even for the current half year with stringent words like distraint proceedings?
This is for the authorities concerned to take effective action to prevent such recurrence.
Thanking you in advance,
Yours faithfully,
V. PICHUMANI Was this information helpful? |
