The website https://panthanivaspuri.org faking as Panthanivas Puri, OTDC, provided phone number +91 [protected] for enquiry and payment for Room booking. When contacted, the person who faked as OTDC staff said the rooms are available and will confirm the booking once payment is made via Phone Pe. I made a total payment of INR 9450 via 5 instalments on 28th Oct-2024 to an account under the name of 'Mr Aditya Singh Rajawat' in Phone Pe. They also shared +91 [protected] against name shown as - 'Namita' in Phone Pe to make the payment. When that number didn't go through, the person provided the QR code against 'Mr Aditya Singh Rajawat' saying he is the Manager of Panthanivas Puri, OTDC. After the payment, they called back saying the booking cannot be confirmed as I paid in instalments. So, I need to pay another INR 9450/- so that they will cancel my first payment of INR 9450/- and booking will be confirmed. I refused and asked for refund. They said OTDC cannot refund, and asked me to share my credit card details to refund. I insisted to refund me through Phone Pe. This person said, then you will not get your money back. I wrote an email to OTDC, Panthanivas Puri and sent WhatsApp message to their business account explaining the entire scam that is happening and that the original OTDC Website is mostly down throughout the day which is making this fake website to extract money from the victims. This fake website is fast, opens as top search in Google and has impersonated the Panthanivas Puri some details without giving their physical addressexcept a phone number +91 [protected]. This is the same number that is used for WhatsApp to scam people. Please help me here to get the refund.
