Parktown Benefit Fund — Non-Payment of Deposit made in the Company

Hi All

I had deposited Rs.100, 000-00 in the year 1998 and I received Rs, 22, 500--00 when the company was not
facing much trouble. Since then I have to receivea balance of Rs. 77, 700-00. I went to consumer court
but nothing has happened. Lot of depositors have gone to consumer court at various branches of the court.
Hence company has got stay order from Madras High court. The consumer court has asked all the depositors
to contact the company against the order. I went with the copy of the court order, but it was in vain. They are
negotiating out of court settlement for 40% of the principle without any interest.

Since there was no-body to argue for the depositors, the company managed to get an court order against the
proposal submitted to the court. Acording to me there are contraditing statement by the company..

Above all they are going on changing their office, hence nobody can meet them. In the circumstances
unless the creditors are united it will be very difficult to deal with the company.

Therefore, my suggestion is try to meet each other and form an association.

Thanks
