Passport India Seva — Once the schedule was cancelled, it was never rescheduled

I, Sreetama Bhaduri, went to this website and filled the application form on the 8th of July, 2021. Later, I was scheduled for an appointment on the 1st of August. But on the 31st of July, my appointment was cancelled due to covid. I nearly waited for two months for my appointment to the rescheduled, but I got no response. The website where I had booked an appointment is also shown that it is under maintenance. Although the government fee is 1500 Rs, I was charged 2995 Rs. And, when I went to the Passport office of Kolkata, they stated that it's a fake site and I have to apply again under the government site. Hence, my money went in vain.
