Passport Services - Police Verification — No report was submitted even after a month of application

My mother's passport was applied at POPSK, Thiruthiraipoondi. Thalayamangalam Police station was asked for verification. One of the worst services by the police at Thalayamangalam. We repeatedly called them for verification and the lady police at that station denied saying she is out at election duty. After 3 weeks, she handled the verification. No report was submitted till now. Slow and useless service from police. My friend applied for a passport at the same passport office, her police verification was at a different station and she received her passport even though she applied after a week.
