I, Raikishori Dey was misguided and harassed in PSK, Surat, by a male officer at Counter B3 of PSK, Surat, around 10.30am, on 20/11/2023. This is my second time visit to the office, as few documents were not with me on the first time. I was listed down the documents to be brought and I took exactly the same ones next time as told. The above mentioned officer asked for another new document this time, which I was not instructed to bring previously, and commanded I have to come back again another day with it.
I enquired why I was not instructed about this the previous day. Had I been informed about this, I would have brought it, because it is tedious to come back again and again and wait for hours. At this he got furious and pushed away my documents. He threatened not to issue my passport. He even had the audacity to question on my education. I asked him to list down whatever more document was required for me. He refused to do so and spoke in a very rude, uncultured and unmannerly way. I am stunned at the audacity the officer exhibited in front of a woman applicant. I want immediately steps to be taken against him.
I am ready to produce and provide any kind of document required to prove the authenticity of my information, but this kind of harassment is not expected from a government organization where they compel a woman applicant to return back again and again with a new document every single time!
