Greetings of the day,

We have had a horrible experience at your store at south extension, New Delhi.

My daughter is getting married in January 2026 and her finacee - Ivan and her in-laws - Bindu & Binod were visiting us in Delhi from Dubai and we took them to Pernias Meharauli for some wedding shopping 14th September. They ordered some clothes from you and paid an advance of INR 430, 000 against a purchase worth of INR 530, 000 as required. Subsequently Bindu and Binod informed Sugandhi (the lady attending to us) on the same day that Bindu did not want 1 item (INR69, 800 in value) and we were given store credit for that amount.

Bindu visited your store in South- ex on 8th November (The 4 of them were visiting Delhi for 2 days with the express intent on fittings/trials) and while at the store liked a piece of jewellery ( approx 70 k). She wanted to buy it subject to the approval of her husband - Binod and her son - Ivan and was told it will be on hold for her. She had taken a photo and when home about an hour later, they decided they did not want this piece of jewellery and Ivan messaged Sugandhi and informed her of the same. She in turn responded by communicating that Bindu had purchased this item and it was not returnable as per company policies. On hearing this I spoke to Sugandhi and informed her that we are upset with this attitude and would like to speak with her supervisor or send me her contact details to escalate. After a wait of well over an hour, I was called by Sugandhi who put Dipanshi Bhalla on the phone. I explained to Dipanshi the sequence of events as above and was told that Binod who was with her had approved the purchase. Since Binod was with me, I informed her that her husband was never there. Since she was caught out, she then conveniently said that Bindu spoke with Binod and got approval over the phone which again is a lie. I was then told that an invoice had been raised and since it was signed by Bindu and as per policy we would now have to buy this piece of jewellery against the store credit. I requested a copy of this invoice and it was sent to me by whatsapp. On receiving this copy, there was no signature of Bindu so I was lied to yet again. How can your staff tell lies like this?? and how can Pernias say that you have to buy the piece when it never even left the store??

I then requested to escalate the matter and make me speak with the owner or a member in the senior management and was told that the only recourse I have is to write to customer care and hence this email.

In conclusion, we are very upset by the manner in which your staff has treated us and lied to us. I also believe you have probably lost lakhs of rupees worth of business to our family alone. I would appreciate a call from a senior member at Pernias. As you can see I have marked this mail to Pernia, Ankita & Sachin and to customer care. I would also like confirmation that you shall not be charging us for the piece of Jewellery (which never left your store nor was purchased by us) and that our store credit is reverted in full.

I at this point would like to intimate you that I reserve the right to escalate the matter (if required) in the jurisdiction of various courts of law open to me.

Best regards from a disgruntled customer,

Pawan Singh (& Binod, Bindu and Ivan)
