Personal Request — New v/s old account no. ( saving bank a/c)

I am a senior citizen .
I started getting the dividend-cheques after long gap of years, from few companies whose shares /debentures are with me .
In such cheques, companies mentioned my old nos. of SBI a/c no. as [50003] on dividend- cheques . it was my slip that I could not update the new a/c no. in company's record. I will get it done soon.
My problem is : Can this dividend cheque lying with me, be deposited for clearance, after mentioning my new account no. [ [protected] ] ?
