Complaint Details:
I, Mohit, resident of Delhi, had booked a train ticket on 8th May 2025 through a third-party agent for 2 passengers with PNR No. [protected]. The total amount paid was ₹1970, which included the ticket cost and booking/confirmation charges. The ticket was in waiting list status.
Later, I booked a Tatkal ticket myself, which had PNR No. [protected], and it got confirmed. Due to this, I asked the agent to cancel the earlier ticket. He agreed and cancelled the ticket. He informed me that he would refund the amount after deducting his booking and cancellation charges (₹120), and would return ₹1421 to me.
Despite repeated follow-ups via calls and messages, I have not received any refund till date. It has been more than 10 days, and the agent is now not responding at all. This kind of behavior reflects unethical practices and financial misconduct.
The agent mentioned that he resides in Laxmi Nagar, Delhi.
Relief Requested:
I request the consumer forum to take strict action against the concerned person and direct him to refund the amount of ₹1421 immediately. I also request compensation for the mental harassment and delay caused due to this negligence.
