I had booked guwahati-kaziranga-shillong-cheerapunji tour package. 5n/6d
So-called deluxe package.
Upon reaching kaziranga, they have guided me to an resort named ekora resorts, name looked good but it was a third class resort below an average resort.
As this was in the forest area i thought its ok to adjust and carried on. I had to pay cash there.
Even our package had all dinner included, the resorts guys didn't have any clue about the dinner. I had to call the agent and fight to get the food.
No dinner arranged, i had to call these guys and fight for food and finally they have arranged through the resort people to bring food from nearby dhabha.
Next day in shillong they have given an hotel named magnolia bed and breakfast, that was a traveler type room without attached bathroom. How can a family live in such a place where we have to go out of the room to use the bathroom. Disgusting...
Again the resort guys had no clue about the dinner.
This was too much in 5 days tour, 2 days i just spent fighting with these people.
I just ask them to cancel my trip and walked away, completed the tour on my own expenses.
After frequently requesting the owner to call me back and let me explain the # he is offering, they never bothered to call me back.
Every time i call and the call is forwarded to someone else and i had to start my story again and again.
What a white collar type of cheating...
The deluxe package was rs 48, 000 for couple and kid with extra bed, i had paid them 25000/- as advance + taxi rs18000/- + resort in kazhiranga rs 4500/-, they have provided local class package where they have promised deluxe package.
After fighting for days and days, i have managed to get a refund of rs7500/- only, where my demand was rs15000/-
A clean cheater, an irresponsible company, never bothered to call back and ask what their customer is going through, no respect...
Total disaster company it is and i am still waiting for my refund.
Don't try them unless you have spare money.
Typically we think that touring north east is very difficult, but trust me, itâs like other parts of india, one can go without any problems.
It's not hard to find hotels and routes in those areas. So better plan your own tour by hiring a car from guwahati. There are plenty of tour operators in guwahati with reasonable price tags.
Don't use this so-called promise india or setmytrip. A fraud company indeed
