Visiting malls and spending time on shopping, food, and recreation is a common practice now. However, a key reason for visiting a mall is safety, maintenance, hygiene, and cleanliness. Unfortunately, these aspects were completely lacking in all the toilets. They were filthy, with many urinals filled with urine, some containing vomit, and most of them not functioning. Only one or two washbasin taps were functional.
How can we take kids to such toilets? We are paying service tax and charges on each item we purchase inside the mall. Why should we compromise on these basic amenities? This is not a public toilet in a local bus stand, and even those are well-maintained nowadays.
