Along with keeping the interest of customers in not disclosing information about account details to un authorised persons, the customers of banks, post office should be extended facility of giving information on phone /mail about account balance, dr/cr in acnount after identification of customer by asking his personal details. The pvt banks are extending these small facilities, which should also be considered to be provided by public sector banks, post office for convenience of their customers, which is time saving also for the customers. At the moment, it is discretion of staff of different banks to provide such information or not, but it should be considered by management of bank to extend small information, which can be communicated through mails as well as on phone.
