Rakesh Mevada — Indian Army Fraud of Rs.96000 for House Rent Deposit

Address: A202, Ashray Serene, TP-44, Near CHandkheda Fire Station, Chandkheda, Ahmedabad

Eloborating my Issue:

I had posted an ad on Magic Brick for House Renting. Mr. Aniket Vijay Kalbhor had called me and identified himself as an army personnel and got job posting to Vadodara Airport. As per negotiation the final Deposit is finalized RS. 18000 and One Month Advance Rent Rs. 9000. He called me next day on 22nd Aug-21 and told me that he would like to make a payment in advance over google pay. He sent me a request of Rs 1 on GooglePay through upi. I told him that it is asking me to pay rather than him paying the amount. He told me that it will first debit my account and then add double of that amount. I did not agree to it and told him that this is not possible. He said this is how it works and requested me to try it with Rs. 1 transaction and I agreed to it. Rs 1 got debited from my account and Rs 1 got credited. Believing him, I accepted Rs 27000 transaction. My account got debited of Rs 27000 but Rs. 27000 didn't get credit. Upon this he said that there is some error in swipe machine from which we are doing. He said he is sorry. So asked me to do again with Rs 27000 as code for receiving Rs.27000 so i can get my money back but again same thing happened and i got duped of approx. Rs 96000. For which he said that you have to click pay and receive option code for two times. Then this person told me that he will refund my full money in my debit card though swipe machine and asked told him to transfer the money in my account which he didn’t do. This went on for couple of hours and same repeated for total Rs. 96000 (Rs.27000 +R2. 27000 + Rs. 27000 + Rs.15000) got debited.

I told this person to send my money in my bank account which he said he cannot do. He keep insisting that its an army camp and only method he can transfer money is through swipe machine into GooglePay/PayTm etc.

later I said my account is having sufficient balance i cannot transfer then he is said me to transfer the amount from any other account so that your money will be get credited which i didn't do. One of my friend called that Fraud person stating that he is police then Immediately call has been Disconnected and phone had been switched off.

Could you please help me out to get my money back.

Hi, he contacted me also, pretending CISF from Pune wanted to relocate to Chandigarh. Same mode of operandi, shared fake id proofs. he asked to transfer 1 rs for verification I did I got back 2 rs on my paytm. Then as expected he was going to ask large amount I confronted him after that no contact. Why any agency is not doing anything after so many complains
Thank you so much for this information, sir. He just called us as well with the same technique. Thank god I had the good sense to look him up and found your post.
I also lost 5000 rs his present active number is[protected].
thanks for this post and this same method was used with us too. I looked up and found this.
He is so convincing, even after saying no, he continued to message and cut a sorry picture. Using the Army and security forces, as reference is what helping his man in gaining the trust of people.
Thanks for this post this guy is having several numbers.. at 1 st he called me, as an army men from Jammu, he also provided his ID's, I didn't responded much .. then after 2-3 days he called again, this time he told, he is from CISF and got transferred to Nagpur and saw your advertisement and is interested, I told him to send the ID's, as soon I check it on net, I knew. They all are having a gang with 5-6 persons involved as they keep calling me. Am sharing all the no.s be safe and - no.1 - [protected] he pretend himself as Randip singh, no.2 _ [protected] - Mr Aniket Vijay, no. 3 _ [protected], Mr B K sing also adding the ID's of Randip singh. Aniket vijay ID's is allready their.
Pls do not accept call from [protected]. He called me today and insisted me to give my upi id. I refused and gave him my account number. He told me that then he cannot give me advance through normal online transfer, thereafter i refused him to give flat on rent. God saved me from fraud. Same id and details are provided to me by Fraud Mr Aniket vijay kalbhor.
I too had the same experience and the moment they asked us to transfer one rupee, we refused and asked him to pay through NEFT. After that I came across this web page and got confirmed that they are fraud. Registered an online complaint with ciber crime. Hope they will take action.
I also had a similar experience with this UPI Fraud GANG, today at 3:15 pm. He posed me as Aniket Vijay & wanted to take my house on rent. He told he is in PUNE currently & cannot come & meet me. I told him to come on a Video call because we dont give house to people whom we don't even meet. He told that he has shared the Adhaar Card & CISF ID card. I told that can be submitted by anyone. I want to match the person who is on adhaar card & on video. He replied he cannot come on video call because its been restricted in forces, which was again a lame excuse. Over the 15 min call he was insisting to transfer me the initial money through Google Pay/UPI. I told that's not our process to get the money before we agree on other terms. The ball was stuck that he need to meet me either way (video call/personally) before I proceed with next step.

Now as of now he doesn't know that I know his fraud. I have already launched a Cyber Complaint which took me more than an hour because of their ###-site. I am waiting incase police or cyberteam approaches me then I can get our call traced & get them caught, though I am not quite sure of the promptness of GOvt agencies. Still keeping fingers crossed to get the fraudsters behind bars.
Same experience here. Thanks for posting this. I also faced a similar situation. Got a call within an hour of posting the ad on MagicBricks. The person's name was "Beer Pratap Yadav". Contact number [protected]. Got another 2 calls from 2 different persons after that with very same language. However, the urgency that he showed made me a bit suspicious and I did a google search that led me to your post here and a few other similar posts. Many other points are also matching such as indian army officer, asking for upi payment, urgent transfer, family of 3. So I am not going ahead with this. Thanks again for posting this and I hope you got your money back.
I sincerely hope that the culprits defaming the name of Indian army are brought to justice. Let me know if I can be of any help.
this same person contact me today, his new number is[protected]. I am going to file online police complaint for him today, thanks to sharing your experience and save me from this fraud.
hi
Thanks for informing people on this fraud. I have also received calls from this fraudster Aniket Vijay. Since I am a retired Army personnel I questioned about his unit etc, which he gave all fake answers. These guys are using name of Army / CISF/ Airforce etc for winning your confidence in them. They are all fraudsters and not from Armed Forces.
Also let me tell you that it is illegal for any serving Armed Forces personnel to share a pic/ copy of his/her ID.
Please stay alert.
this fellow has contacted me for the same issue yesterday
i have blocked him
Thank you for posting this alert, it saved us from being duped. We grew suspicious at his choice of rental location which was 40 km away from his work place, his unusually persistent follow up calls & msgs. He followed the same modus operandi and even came on video call to gain our confidence. We however quickly ran a check just to be sure and found this alert.
Thank you for sharing your experiencing and helping eachother from these fraudulent people. I hope no one else becomes a victim of such scams.
Thank you for the post, we have the same person contact us, first grew suspicious about this work location and then tried googling about him and found this post.
I had posted property for rent on magic bricks yesterday and since yesterday till now, I have got calls from different numbers. And everyone of them were from CISF or BSF and all their names were Aniket Vijay. I got so vexed with their calls and their desperation to occupy flat without knowing any details about my property, I realised they were frauds and so looked up to Google to search his name and got to see all these posts.
This ### just tried to do the same to me as well. I saw his picture in WhatsApp which was from IStock … he started following up but then I tried to find an article for frauds and found this one … so yes really helpful.

Any way these people can be reported to police ?

Dear Sir

My Name is Dharmdeep Singh, I have posted an advertisement on OLX for rent out our house. A person showed his interest in my ad and contacted me. He claimed that he is a Sub Inspector in CISF and sent me his Identity proofs (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, CISF ID Card). He asked me to rent the house and requested me for Photos of our house. I have sent him all the photos of my house. Then he again called me and said he liked the house and demanded my Aadhar Card. I sent him my Aadhar Card and ID Card considering that he is a genuine person. He insisted that I give him my Payment details so that he can transfer the token money. I refused to give him any payment details. Yesterday night i came to know that all the ID Proofs which he had sent me were fake. Today morning he also contacted me i told him you are fraud i don't want to contact with you.He started blackmailing me and said to me if I will not pay him 10000 He will viral my Aadhar Card and ID Proof. I have recorded his call which I am attaching in this mail.
Sir Kindly do a needful action against these fraudsters. They are threatening me.
