Purchase of ac and warranty
On 14th may 2016 i purchased a onida inverter model ac. They informed me that installation is free however removing the old lg and refixing they will charge inr 2250/- but it can be done in inr2000/-.
I agreed, they said they do not have warranty card and wanted me to collect the following week, i requested courier they said they don't have facility. I agreed to collect.
A week later i called and they said they have received the warranty card and asked me to come on wednesday, i could not make it and went on saturday and showed the bill to them. The person in the onida store informed that card has still not come and it will come in three days. I told him one person asked me to come on wednesday, he informed we are out of stock.
Today 11th june 2016 i again called in the morning and mr. Kumar informed warranty card is in stock and i could come and collect. I reached around 11.00 am and the person said no warranty card is given for the model which i purchased, i can claim showing the bill. Customers are they make us travel like dogs.
Delivery
Rfh assured delivery on the 19th, however no calls from ratna fan house "rfh". I called them on 21st and they said it will be delivered by 7.00 pm, no delivery.
On 23rd and 24th i again called and they informed it will be delivered on 27th.
Installation
On 25 th a service engineer "se" called and informed he is coming for installation. I informed the ac has still not been delivered. Se informed me to call once i got the ac, i told him the requirement, he said company charges 2250/- he shall do it for 1500/- (Fixture of new ac, r removal of old and fixing it in another room. On 27th when i received the product i tried calling the se, he did not pickup and i informed sudha (Number given on bill), she said we don't know who the earlier se, we will send a new person. The se called me at 2.30 pm and came home and started fitting at 3.00 pm, he was in a hurry as it was evident in his fittmement. He did not have tools to remove old copper tube and asked me if there are shops nearby (Sunday it was).
He received multiple calls from his friends to start as they had some plans, i gave him tools and helped in carrying the outer unit. He completed fitting the ac, hole was not concealed, he said he will do next day when he shall fit the old ac in another room. He said the old ac was good to be fitted.
I requested the se to come a day after since i had some work, from then i tried and the se was not picking my call. I again called sudha who said another se will come.
The se (Praveen) came at 5.30 pm after many follow-ups from morning. He started work and said i will put new copper tubes, old ones are damaged, he said it's inr 750/- he came back at 6.30pm and it was dark and i was holding the emergency lamp. The se did not have tools and broke the new copper tube, it was 8.00 pm and his boss wanted him to finish some urgent work in madipakkam. He informed me he will complete the work next day and left.
Next day (Sunday) he comes at 7 with a spring to bend the the pipe and succeeds.
The helper breaks another pipe now and the se is frustrated by now, he uses 50% of old copper pipe and gas welds it with atleast 2 joints and finally fits.
The ac is switched on and the gas leaks from the inner console and se says nothing can be done. My entire time was wasted helping them with holding the outer unit, providing them water, ladder, bucket, cloth etc etc.
I tell him to just remove and put it as scrap, he calls his boss and i speak to him and he says i clearly told we will not reinstall etc etc. I was surprised the charges were informed and all tasks completed, i gave it back told him you send unprofessional people who are learners and they mess with he work and charge me a bomb.
I had no option other than to pay 3500/-
Removal and fitment 1800/-
Copper pipe 1500/- for two meters which is a crime and in addition old pipes were used 50%.
Removal of lg fitted since it was not working he asked 600/-, i shouted at him finally he took in total 3500/-.
I just scrapped my ac next day with all this frustration.
Rfh have not customer care persons and multiple emails are going to this sudha who tells again you have sent the email its again come to me only.
Pathetic and will never recommend ratna fan house.
