I purchased a refurbished laptop from Recyclekart (Order ID: SP/25-26/7065) on 8th August 2025 by making an online payment of ₹20, 873.02 via credit card. I personally collected the product from their office the same day. Their staff, Ms. Kajal, assured me that the laptop would come with an original charger.
After reaching home and unboxing, I discovered that the laptop was broken from the left side and the charger was of very poor quality with its plug broken. When I plugged it in, it started overheating dangerously, so I removed it immediately.
I sent an email the same evening requesting a return. On 11th August 2025, I again visited their office to return the laptop. I requested a full refund, but Ms. Kajal insisted that as per their policy, they would deduct 10% cancellation charges, which is completely unjustified for a defective product. I asked to meet their CEO, Mr. Vayu Jain, but despite waiting over an hour and requesting through Ms. Kajal and Mr. Dubey, he refused to meet. I then handed over the laptop and invoice to Ms. Kajal.
On 19th August 2025, when I called, Ms. Kajal assured me the refund would be processed by 7 pm the same day. However, no refund has been made. Since 11th August 2025, I have been following up via emails and calls, but they are neither responding nor refunding my money.
I strongly caution others not to trust Recyclekart for refurbished laptops or electronics.
They not only sell defective products but also hide genuine reviews, harass customers for refunds and completely ignore complaints after taking payment.
This is a clear case of deficiency in service, unfair trade practice, and consumer harassment.
Relief Requested:
1. Direct Recyclekart to refund my full amount of ₹20, 873.02 without deduction.
2. Take strict action against the company for unfair trade practices.
