Reliance Digital Kanakapura — Complaint for deficiency in service and supply of defective product

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, the complainant, respectfully submit as follows:

That on 12th April 2026, I purchased an Air Conditioner (AC) from Reliance Digital Showroom, Kanakapura Branch, Bengaluru.
At the time of purchase, the delivery executive assured that:
The product would be delivered by 14th April 2026, and
Installation would be completed by 15th April 2026.
However, I later received a message stating that the delivery would be delayed until 25th April 2026, which I immediately opposed.
Subsequently, the product was delivered and installed on 16th April 2026, but the AC supplied was defective.
Since installation, the AC has not been functioning at all, and I have been unable to use the product.
I contacted the Reliance Digital showroom multiple times, but they refused to resolve the issue, stating that it is the responsibility of Samsung.
On contacting Samsung customer care, they denied responsibility and directed me back to Reliance Digital.
Due to this lack of coordination and negligence between both parties, my issue remains unresolved as of 22nd April 2026, and I have been deprived o[censored]sing the product despite paying the full amount.
This amounts to:
Deficiency in service
Unfair trade practice
Supply of defective goods
Relief Sought:

In light of the above, I request this Hon’ble Commission to:

Direct the opposite parties to replace the defective AC with a new, fully functional unit OR provide a full refund of the purchase amount.
Award compensation for mental agony, inconvenience, and harassment caused.
Reimburse any additional expenses incurred.
Pass any other order deemed fit in the interest of justice.
