Property tax collector pertaining to Zone 10, ward 132 attached to the collection centre at 9 th avenue, ASHOK Nagar, Chennai-83 is not at all available in his office to receive the payments of tax.His office is closed for the last few days and when enquired about his non- availability, one comes to understand he is busy with the election duties.It is highly deplorable and it is pathetic to see many who come to the office to pay taxes, are returning very disappointed.There is no proper notification about his non-availability to the public and this leads to the delay in paying the tax.Not only that, penalty is levied on delayed payments because of the state Govt's misuse of its machineries.The Govt.should have made alternative arrangements to receive the taxes.The Madras High Court must note this kind of atrocities meted to the public.Senior citizens are badly affected by the Govt's odd attitudes.The tax collector should be taken to task and penalised, suitably.The Madras High Court should tend to make a full stop to all the wrong doings of the state Govt.Will they?
