I had heard of this hospital as a speciality of stone removal so went for my mother's stone consultation. There is no prior appointment at this hospital so you have to reach early in the morning. We reached at around 9 so that we are the first one to be consulted by doctor when he comes at 10.
There was some software upgrade going on at the hospital. You would be amazed to know that the developer was sitting by the side of the receptionist and making corrections in the software as and when it was reported from reception. Means there was no proper testing of the software before launching it.
Although we had to be called for consultation at 10, they called my mother for basic checks at this time. When my mother went there, she should have been checked only for bp and height weight.
They closed the room and started talking amongst themselves that a lot of tests have to be done for her. Let's remove her clamp first. Other lady started preparing for some ultrasound and blood test. Seeing this my mother got tensed and raised alarm. Even then they argued that these have to be done as doctor has prescribed them. Listening to my mother's voice me and my father reached there. They still argued. We resisted and then they realised something is wrong. On doing some checks they found that it was a software bug and they had mixed my mother's name with an emergency case.
When we got annoyed at this mismanagement, the testing lady started screaming that why are you worried when nothing has happened.
I don't know, how can they be so casual with such a situation. You should not launch a software in such a sensitive field like medical without thorough testing.
I would suggest everyone to keep away from this hospital. Was this information helpful? |
