Subject: Complaint Against Fraudulent Matrimonial Service – Rishtonka.com

Respected Sir/Madam,

My name is Mohammed Ashyer. I registered with Rishtonka.com, a matrimonial service provider, on 23rd July 2025. The company is owned by Mr. Md. Shabaz Furhan. I came to know about this service through a reference.

At the time of registration, I paid ₹3, 500 as a registration fee. Mr. Shabaz informed me that I would receive two profiles every week on regular intervals. He then provided me with the contact details of Ms. Arifa Taiyeb, who was assigned to assist me with the matchmaking service. She informed me that I would receive profiles and that I should respond with “Yes” or “No” for each match.

After the registration, Ms. Arifa Taiyeb shared around 15 profiles, most of which were not suitable. From the beginning, I had clearly mentioned to both Mr. Shabaz Furhan and Ms. Arifa Taiyeb that I was specifically looking for a good-looking match. However, they refused to consider my preferences, stating that profiles are shared only based on 5 criteria age, caste, and education etc.

Throughout my interaction with Ms. Arifa Taiyeb, I faced unprofessional and rude behavior. She often ignored my calls and messages, provided delayed responses, and failed to share profiles regularly. I had to repeatedly remind her to share profiles; otherwise, she did not send any. The service quality was very poor and unprofessional.She is intentionally delaying profile sharing, expecting customers to get frustrated and discontinue the service. She has done this with many customers. After receiving the payment, their attitude completely changed. Eventually, Ms. Arifa Taiyeb blocked my number on WhatsApp.

Out of all the profiles shared, I found only three matches suitable, but all three were later marked as “rejected.” Ms. Arifa only sent WhatsApp screenshots claiming that the girls’ families had declined. I have doubts regarding the authenticity of these responses, as they could have been rejected by the company themselves.

When I raised these issues with Mr. Shabaz Furhan and requested him to share better and good-looking matches, he also responded rudely and unprofessionally. I then requested for a refund of my registration fee, as I was completely dissatisfied with the service. However, he refused to refund, stating there is no refund policy, regardless of the service provided. Later, both Mr. Shabaz and Ms. Arifa blocked my number and stopped responding to my calls. When I called from another number, they unblocked me, which clearly indicates intentional avoidance and fraudulent conduct.

Based on my experience, I strongly believe Rishtonka.com is suspected fraudulent and misleading service. They make false promises, provide third-class service, and deceive customers after collecting money. Before registration, I had asked about their negative Google reviews, but Mr. Shabaz Furhan falsely claimed that they were baseless. After my experience, I am convinced that those negative reviews are genuine, while the positive reviews are likely fabricated by their own staff.

I have attached the following documents as proof of my complaint:

1. Copy of my registration slip- Shared in Attachment

2. Screenshots of WhatsApp conversations with Mr. Md. Shabaz Furhan and Ms. Arifa Taiyeb- Shared in attachment

3. Contact numbers of both representatives.

I, therefore, humbly request the Consumer Forum and Police Department to:

Investigate this matter thoroughly,

Take strict legal action against Mr. Md. Shabaz Furhan, Ms. Arifa Taiyeb, and Rishtonka.com,

And blacklist the company to prevent others from being defrauded in the future.
