I am writing to file a formal complaint against RupeeRedee (Moneymitra IT Solutions Private Limited) regarding a loan I obtained on September 16, 2024. The loan was for ₹82, 000, but I only received a disbursement of ₹73, 800. The loan agreement stipulates a processing fee of ₹8, 200 and service charges of ₹41, 741.28. The total repayment amount, including all fees and interest, is ₹131, 945.7.
A core issue of my complaint is the exorbitant service charge of ₹41, 741.28, which is approximately 50% of the disbursed loan amount. I am disputing the legitimacy and fairness of this charge.
My loan was structured with six EMI payments of ₹21, 990.95. To date, I have paid approximately ₹87, 600 towards this loan. I am now facing significant financial hardship due to a job layoff and substantial medical expenses related to my wife's health. Consequently, I am unable to meet the remaining two EMI payments, which are roughly equivalent to the disputed service charges.
I have formally requested that RupeeRedee waive these service charges to allow me to close the loan. I have offered a settlement payment of between ₹5, 000 and ₹10, 000, which I believe is reasonable given that my payments already exceed the disbursed loan amount. RupeeRedee has declined this offer.
Instead of a reasonable resolution, RupeeRedee is engaging in harassing debt collection practices. I receive frequent calls from unidentified numbers, which I have blocked, but the harassment persists. My attempts to communicate with RupeeRedee and resolve this issue amicably through email have been ignored.
Furthermore, I have received a legal notice from Advocate Udit Sharma, threatening legal action, including the seizure of my passport and property. I believe this threat is a disproportionate and unjustified response to this loan dispute.
In summary, RupeeRedee’s exorbitant charges and subsequent collection practices are causing me severe financial hardship and mental distress. I urge you to investigate this matter and take swift action to rectify this situation.
