I am writing to file a formal complaint against Salora India concerning a newly purchased air conditioner that has been non-functional since its installation. This issue has been compounded by extremely poor and unresponsive customer service from Salora.
I purchased a Salora AC from NeverOwned India, an offline store located near Chandan Hulla, Chhatarpur road, New Delhi, on April 26, 2025.

The installation was performed by a Salora-appointed technician on May 05, 2025, under Installation Call ID 250503DLCD454531 and Demo Code SSL183U3YCEC3.
Immediately after installation, the technician departed, claiming the AC would take some time to cool.

However, after a while we discovered that the AC was not cooling at all, with only its fan operating. I promptly contacted the technician, who advised changing the mode on the remote, but this did not resolve the issue. He then promised to return within a day or two but never did.

Subsequently, I raised a complaint with Salora's service center. After numerous calls, a complaint was finally registered, and I received a call from the same technician who had initially installed the AC. He acknowledged the complaint and assured me he would visit the next day. This pattern o[censored]nfulfilled promises continued, and eventually, he stopped answering my calls.

I then contacted Salora customer support again. They informed me that they would send a different technician. Two days later, a technician called, stating he would charge ₹800-₹1000 as visiting fees. I found this unacceptable, as the AC was brand new, had never worked, and was under warranty. I explained that I would only pay if the fault was demonstrably on my part, but not if it was a manufacturing or installation defect covered under warranty. He advised me to discuss this with customer support but reiterated that he would still charge his fees.

I contacted customer support yet again, and after many attempts, they finally picked up. I explained the entire situation, and they assured me they would raise another complaint. Despite repeated assurances that a technician would arrive within 48 hours or "tomorrow, " it has now been over 1.5 months, and the issue remains unresolved. Salora customer support has completely stopped taking my calls.

Throughout this ordeal, Salora representatives have, at times, falsely claimed that the AC was not installed by their brand. This is untrue; the technician himself confirmed he was from Salora's Okhla office, and the provided installation Call ID and demo code were recognized by the customer support desk as proof of brand installation.

I urge the Consumer Forum to intervene and direct Salora to immediately resolve the issue with my AC, either by repairing it at no cost under warranty or by providing a replacement. I also seek compensation for the inconvenience, mental agony, and financial loss incurred due to their negligent service.
