My name is brijesh. I took admission in saroj institute of tech and management, lucknow in 2010 in b. Tech (Ec). At the time of admission, i submitted rs. 10000/- as caution money and it was told that it will be refunded after the course completion. The course was finished in 2014 and i got the degree as well from the uptu (Now, aktu) university in 2015 with the final year mark sheet. However, at the time of convocation, i went for the refund of caution (Security) money but they denied and asked me to clear the dues first. The dues were clear already. I asked for the closure form where i should get the signature from different departments to confirm my no dues. I got it done from library, labs etc but when i went to the account section of our college, they said that we don't have any records on our system of those students who passed in 2014. And that i should come later. I and my classmates went there several times and it was the same reason told to us and the caution money was denied to us. I am working now so i don't get much time to go there for the same denial again and again. I am quite frustrated with it. The complete course of 4-years was like this only. They asked us many times for extra fees which were already submitted. They asked for fees at the time of admit card when we didn't have any option than paying. One of my classmates was asked to wait in the admin building till 21:00 pm as we had our semesters from the next day and admit card wasn't given to her. They used to impose fines of late fee without any proof of the same.
The college is governed by a local leader of chaudhary sunil singh from lok dal.
Kindly look into the matter. This issue is with all of the students from our college. We paid a huge amount on the name of fees and fine apart from our regular fees.
