I had received a call (Phone no.[protected] on my landline telephone no.[protected] on[protected] introducing herself as supposedly calling from gbic (Governing body of insurance council). First of all, she called me by name and inquired that whether i was satyendra andharia, as she wanted to talk to satyendra andharia. She inquired with me that whether i invested rs.40, 000/- on[protected] for 12 years in ing vysya mutual fund in 2001. Mutual fund’s period expired on[protected] and the amount has, as on date, become rs.2, 65, 000/-. As a part of procedure to close pending unpaid mutual fund case, she needed to inquire on the subject.
I told her that i did not recall any such investment. Upon which, she provided me policy number also as ir0242618 and mobile number [protected] to cross check later. I asked her to wait so that i might write down all information and inquire with my records later. She again provided me above information to enable me to write down.
Later, i surfed net by giving gbic claim.in one such webpage, i found the exact details – complaint - from one shri bharat mistry, to you, webpage address is pasted below.in the webpage, at the top of complaint is written – (Resolved) bima lokpal – claim for ingvaisya mutual fund file no. Ir 0242618.

Kindly let me know whether (1) the call was from your bima lokpal
(2) as i was intimated, such mutual fund stands in my name as on date? And
(3) phone call being from your office and mutual fund standing in my name, course of action on my part. Was this information helpful? |
