The elevator in our apartment belongs to the above company and was installed in June 2020. Yesterday on 6th October 2020, just after 4 months of installation, we had problems with the life. My wife and I got into the lift and when we reached our floor, the doors were stuck and we could not come out. We had to then call the Toll free number given in the lift and an engineer came over to help open the door. By this time, an entire hour had passed.
Questions to Schindler India Elevators
1) Why was this faulty equipment installed in our apartment?
2) Apparently, a message had to be sent out to the company the moment an equipment is not working. No message was sent and had we not called the Toll free number, no company engineer would have come. Why is this so?
3) If aged people use such faulty equipment, depending on their health conditions, any kind of medical crisis situation may have arose. How would you have dealt this situation?
