Hi,
I am a freelance translator. I worked as an English-Burmese translator for Shakti Enterprise’s project for the last 3 months. When they needed confirmation for project deadlines, they repeatedly messaged me. After I finished the project within the deadline, they didn’t reply to my emails and began ignoring my messages.
I then contacted Khushboo Harjai, an employee at Shakti Enterprise, via WhatsApp. She kept promising and changing dates, making various excuses. Initially, she suggested a wire transfer. After providing my bank account details, she changed the date twice and claimed it wouldn’t work. Later, she suggested using PayPal, and after I provided the necessary information, I am still waiting for the promised date. She changed the date again. When I mentioned taking action, they suddenly required a PO number, making me wait again.
They asked me to wait until Monday (15.01.2024), and I haven’t received any reply until I posted about their nonpayment on LinkedIn. Last week, on Friday (2.2.2024), they contacted me, asking to delete all the photos of scammer and posts, promising to pay within 2 hours, but nothing happened. Then, she said her director wanted to contact me, and as proof, I have a screenshot of Shakti Enterprise. The director, #Ajit_SHIRODKAR, called and threatened me about posting their non-payment and their employee’s(scammer) photo. I confronted him about their non-payment, and he claimed they would resolve the issue and end our association on Monday (5.2.2024). On Monday, I didn’t receive any payment to my PayPal. I informed him that if I didn’t receive my payment, I would report again, as I won’t delete it due to their scam, which can harm many people in the translation industry. He asked me to wait, promising the payment would be released today (6.2.2024), but nothing happened. He is the director of Shakti Enterprise and also scammer too.When I contacted them about my payment date, they started ignoring me like before. Not only me, but many people are aware of their fraudulent activities, and they have experienced scams from Shakti Enterprise in India, Mumbai. I also have their contact number; the person who contacted me used an official Gmail account from their organization, and I have their photo.
