I am an NRI and sold my property in India in 2015. The buyer deducted 20% tax from my sale proceeds and sent me a challan/ counterfoil for payment.
However this challan did not reflect in my traces due to some glitch in IT department. Mr Shankar Balasubramanian who was my CA told me that I cannot file my tax returns until this was corrected. He said that, since it was a IT error, I will be allowed to file my returns even after 3 years.
I followed up with him many times and finally he stopped responding.
How can you help me? I have the challan copies and all other details.
He took a fee of Rs 51, 000 for filing the returns and has not refunded the money. I have all the email correspondence with him and my emails for which he has not replied. Below are his contact details:
