When I received a call from Sharaa Info Developers, they informed me that they would place me in a ThoughtWorks company within a month, offering a salary of 6 lakhs annually. In return, they required a payment of 1.62 lakhs.
I initially paid a registration fee of 2, 000 on September 10, 2024, followed by a payment of 20, 000 on the same day. On September 11, 2024, I paid 50, 000, and on September 12, 2024, I paid an additional 40, 000. After this, I was told to wait for the offer letter. However, the job was never given to me. A few months later, I received another call where I was informed that the company HR was requesting a security deposit of 1.50 lakhs. I was told that if I provided the security deposit, my job role would proceed. However, I had never accepted the offer in the first place. Finally, on November 6, 2024, I paid 50, 000 for the security deposit.
After making the payment, I did not receive appropriate responses from them, and they occasionally failed to return my calls. They offered various excuses like office leave, illness, and being unavailable, claiming that I would receive an offer in a week. It has now been over 11 months, and I still have not received anything.
On January 20, 2025, I emailed the HR representative requesting to cancel the process and refund my money. He acknowledged my email and said I would receive a response. However, after sending two or three follow-up emails, I was informed that they would deduct a total of 40% from my refund (20% deduction, 18% GST, and 2% payment gateway charges).
Moreover, when I spoke with other individuals at the organization, they told me that the company does not facilitate placements or refunds. After many other candidates and their parents raised concerns in the office, they told us we would have to address this issue legally. Additionally, I was threatened during this process.
Here are the key individuals involved:
- **Shiva/Silambarasan**: The MD of Sharaa Info Developers, who appears to be the mastermind behind the fraud.
- **Gayatri**: The HR coordinator, who was the first person to defraud me.
- **Divya**: The HR manager, who is also involved in the deceit.
- **Raj**: The interview coordinator, who frequently claims to be hospitalized, making it difficult for me to contact him.
- **Gowardhan**: Another interview coordinator, who initially provided honest statements before engaging in fraudulent behavior.
Overall, everyone in the company seems to be dishonest and involved in fraudulent activities.
