I Mr. Chaitanya Vinnakota 42 along with 8 pilgrims from Hyderabad visited the Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple, Ujjain on 14th Jul 2025. We had Booked Sheegra Darshan for all the pilgrims prior to 10 days with the Registration No. 1MXMLD and they allocated the darshan slot by 10 to 11 Am. They Informed us we can either go by gate no 1 or gate no 4 in the registration. On 14th Jul 2025 we reached Ujjain from Indore around 10:30 am and everyone in the temple administration advised us to go by Gate No1. By exactly 11:05 am we entered in to Gate No 1, At the same time they also open the General Queue Darshan and the crowd was very huge on the day as it was Sravana Maasam First Monday. There were no Proper Barricades between the General Queue and the Sheegra Darshan(Special Darshan). Most of the General Queue Gents are simply Jumped from the General to the Seegra Darshan Queue. No Police men were there at the Moment. I strongly believe there are no Cameras as Well. By Exactly around 11:15 to 11:20 am on 14th Jul 2025, we reached to have the darshan of Mahakaleshwar Main Temple. As we are in the Darshan of Mahakaleshwar some unknown people(Thieves) who picked the Chain(Mangalasutra) which weighs around 35 to 38 gms from my Aunty named Sashi Rekha aged 62. It was happened exactly infront of the Mahakaleswar by 11:20 am. There were no proper Police and Security. Even there is no proper information center in the temple premises. Later I asked policeman where we need to raise the complaint regarding this. they advised me to raise the complaint at police control room which besides the Gate No 1. We approached there and informed the same what was happened. They noted the details of my aunty name, Mobile Number and the age and suggested us to raise the FIR in the Ujjain Police Station as well. We Just raise the complaint in the Control room and turned back the other family came to raise the same complaint in Control room which they lost their gold at the same spot with in just 20 mins span of time which the entire Ujjain Temple Committee, Police and the security has to ashamed off.
We came to know how dirtily they were maintaining the security in inside and outside of the temple premises.
Prior As we already booked return train tickets on the same day and the Train was from Ujjain to Bhopla by Malwa Express by 2pm and from Bhopal to Kazipet(Gorakhpur to Kazipet 22533) by 9 pm. As we don't have enough time to file the FIR, we immediately return back from Ujjain Temple to Ujjain Railway Station and Boarded the train for Malwa Express. My Aunty was depressed a lot as it was happened exactly infront of Mahakaleshwar Main Temple.
Here are my few questions.
1) What was the purpose of advance booking of seegra darshan to avoid the rush but still both went in the same line?
2) Where was the Senior Citizen Queue?
3) If the Seegra Darshan actual entry is through Gate No 4 then why all the people misguide us to go by Gate No1 and even in the online darshan they clearly mentioned Gate No 1 or Gate No4
4)If anything happens in the Queue Who is responsible for this?
5) Where was the policeman and the security if we had that much of crowd to avoid this situations.
6) what was the Endowment Ministry doing these many thefts was happening in a single day?
We had never seen this type of irresponsibility and negligence from any south indian temples.
We are very frustrated about the north indian temples and their administration and the maintenance especailly the rude behaviour of the management and the committee..
Just go and check, how TTD(Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams, Tirupathi and Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust Shirdi) how they are maintaining the security and all and learn from them.
I Sincerely request you to please take the severe action on the Ujjain Temple Committee members, Police and the Security and we demand the Ujjain temple committee members to arrange the gold or money as soon as possible.
I am also attaching all the required documents as the proofs.
