Complaint against Mohali based fraud Matrimonial site named ‘SHUBHBANDHAN MATRIMONY’ located at S.C.F. 2nd floor, Phase 10, Mohali, Punjab
On 27th Mar. 23rd, a lady who informed her name as Simran and introduced herself as a staff member/ agent representing the above fraud matrimonial site called us. She offered us a deal that they would find a match for our Singapore based daughter. She shared a proposal and asked us if we would like to talk to other party, we would need to register with their company by paying Rs. 6, 100/ in the name of owner Harpreet Sahota, and only after that they would arrange a VIDEO conference call with boy’s parents. She sent us a QR code for making UPI payment. After our paying the amount of 6, 100 / to Harpreet Sahota through said QR code, Ms Simran shared a phone number and arranged an audio conference call, not a video call as promised before making payment, with a person who she introduced as Mr. Nagpal; boy’s father whom I asked to share the compete Bio-data along with contact number and exact location /address of the boy in Singapore. The person from the other side responded that he would share through Simran and immediately ended the conversation. After that, we checked that the said phone number was not genuine as we never received any response from the number and also found that the number was registered with some other name and not any Nagpal. We followed up with that person and Simran as well for biodata and boy’s address but regret to mention that in spite of several follow-ups, we didn’t get any response. Then, Simran herself informed me that the said party didn’t seem to be a genuine one as they were not responding and asked me to ignore & forget that party. She assured me that she would share more proposals and will continue sending four proposals a week until the match is finalised. It was very clear that the first proposal was fake.
I tried to contact Simran numerous times, and after then, on 5th April 23, she sent me a proposal of a boy who is TWO YEARS younger than the girl in age. I was surprised and contacted Simran, but she did not pick up the call. After so many efforts, once Simran attended my call and I clearly told that they did not have any real proposals and shared fake proposals and passing out the time. I requested her to return my hard-earned money. I sent a message on WhatsApp also on 12th April 23 and requested a refund of money.
I have, since then, tried to contact Simran infinite number of times but could not get any response. Now, she is not even attending the calls.
It is my humble request to please get my hard-earned money refunded and take stringent actions against such a fraud matrimonial company and the people who engage with it who conned me out and duped of my money. Was this information helpful? |
