To everyone reading this post, this is a voice for justice in normalising ethical and quality education as a commoner one among you !
This is super important as this is the real struggle, scam and mental harassement happening for months to many in the name of mental health education and glossy marketing gimmicks by Socially Souled LLP found by Akul Grover and Radhika Goyal in Gurugram, Haryana.
As a student who trusted and enrolled in their "Art therapy" course on "18th Oct 2021 " facilitated by Aksha Juvekar looking upto their affliated trademarks for quality and global standards, reviews and social media feed about their advocation for mental health education, I least expected I would receive,
-Continuous Cancelled Classes ( 3 ) with no consent and compensation
- Unethical and Illegal conduct of entirely plagiarised course content
(Entirely plagiarised Udemy Course content and Reidinger blog post )
- Misleading and unsatisfied teaching standards
- Bad quality management system and no student support system
- Unprofessional and Non - Inclusive learning environment
- Mental Stress and Trauma
I chose to seek a refund seeking support from Socially Souled LLP on NOV 3, 2021 after feeling disappointed and stressed to keep committing to this course by reporting all the above concerns to them.
They "REMOVED ME" out of the whatsapp group and programme without my CONSENT AND APPROVAL TO DO SO, falsely accusing me of having personal biases and preconceived ideas.
"Art as a selfcare practice is entirely different from therapy" and there were 32 participants in which many o[censored]s belonged to different profession.
There was no basic introduction to History of Art therapy, terminologies related to psychology & aspects of neuroscience which is mandatory to understand if one has to practice Art therapy. The facilitator Aksha Juvekar just dictated the ppt & there was no live demo, accountability and compensation for cancelled classes, lesson plan schedule & instructions, follow up and portal to submit the exercises.
The resource material shared had no credits / bibliography and had been watermarked with the logo of "Socially Souled" & ICPEM & IOATH logo on top which is a clear unethical act of plagiarism.
Socially Souled LLP & Aksha Juvekar was called out for plagiarism and proved guilty by Prof.Krishna.N.Sharma for plagiarizing his Udemy Course on Art therapy on Nov 21, 2021.
- Also responsible for plagiarising the illustrations and content from Reidingers's Blog post.
They immediately responded by flipping the narrative by blaming it all on their facilitator and ensuring to change the course content and adding new facilitator. Note : The tutor was never changed.
With this level of plagiarised content (available online for free) and worse teaching standards, this course has no eligibility for a Practitioner level nor as an Art practice.
With my complaint to ICPEM with more than a month of spending my time with mails and calls hoping for a resolution, they had supported in mediating this issue. Despite them talking to the founder Akul Grover & warning to provide positive solution to the student there was no resolution, action taken & explanations given for their misconduct . They falsely accused me for complaining to ICPEM and there is no response till date for the mail sent to Socially souled. I had lodged my complaint to the Student forum and National Consumer Helpline even to which they didnt care to respond or give any explanations.
I request to get my refund and I hope this helps anyone into not falling for marketing gimmicks.
